Nov 14 Image Fluorite Mining in Weardale, England Presented by, Ian and Diana Bruce Weardale Fluorite graces museum and private mineral collections around the world. Ever since the early 19th century, fine Fluorite specimens have been periodically discovered in the lead mines and limestone quarries of County Durham, England, most notably those with gem-quality, emerald-green crystals. UK Mining Ventures Ltd proudly continues the tradition, building on this region’s remarkable mineral heritage. Ian and Diana Bruce, owners of UK Mining Ventures Ltd, discuss the company’s specimen recovery operations at the Rogerley, Diana Maria, and Lady Annabella mines since taking ownership in 2017. Museum will closed at 4pm for general public. Seminar Attendees will have access to museum galleries from 4-5pm before the seminar starts at 5pm.
